Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano, Lisa Betteridge – violin and Linda Stocks – cello) bring their popular Café Concerts to Malmesbury on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 2pm: informal feel-good music events with the Abbey Café open before and after the concert where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, or simply relax and enjoy beautiful music in a range of styles.
Every concert is different, with a range of musical styles, brought together by a theme.
February’s music is inspired by aspects of time and includes Ravel’s suite from his short opera L’Heure Espagnole, Grieg Morning and Circulo by Spanish composer Turina, an atmospheric trio with three movements conjuring up Dawn, Midday and Evening. Clocks are also represented musically, including Leroy Anderson’s The Syncopated Clock.
Concert lasts c45m. Entrance is free with pay-what-you-feel donations invited. No need to book, but turn up early for best seats, as these events are bound to be popular! All ages welcome, including children.
