Transforming Church

Bishop Viv is asking us all to take part in a series of conversations called ‘Transforming Church’ as she seeks God’s direction for the Diocese as we emerge from COVID19 and the impact that it has had upon church life.

We are starting these conversations with PCCs in some joint zoom sessions but will be looking to include as many others as possible as well in the next few weeks.

  • Tuesday March 23rd at 5.00 – 7.30 over a drink
  • Wednesday March 24th at 7.30-9.30pm – Deanery Synod/MAST meeting
  • Tuesday April 6th at 11.00 -12.30 – over coffee (details for the zoom meeting can be found by clicking here)
  • Saturday 10th April at 9.30-11.30 for our PCCs – h/g leaders

Choose which one you want –

There is also a questionnaire for as many as possible to fill in on line: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TCTquestionnaire

The website is: https://www.bristol.anglican.org/visionandpriorities/transformingchurch/

“The outcome of these – we pray – will be a clear discernment of where the Holy Spirit is leading us, and how we can apply ourselves to best achieve that.

Expressed in a very practical way, the outcome of the conversations will lead to a bid for strategic funding from the Church Commissioners in the autumn for the next five years, in a similar fashion to the existing Mission Area funding, as we seek to apply targetted support to places where it is most needed, in addition to existing parish work.
