Please keep checking this page for updates on all that is happening over Lent, Holy Week and Easter both through the Abbey, village churches and with our friends in the North Wiltshire Mission Area.
See below for our Online Ash Wednesday Service led by Rev Oliver Ross. In preparation for this service you may like to prepare your own ash to be used at home. The Rev Matt Stone from the Mission Area has prepared a short video explaining how to do this. See below:

Growing in Prayer during Lent
All those who are part of communities across our North Wiltshire Mission Area have the opportunity to go deeper in prayer, as individuals and as a Christian community, by being part of the Prayer Course with a small group using Zoom.
You can choose to follow a weekly eight-session course on a Wednesday evening (starting 24 February) or a four-session course running fortnightly on a Tuesday morning (starting 16 February). The eight-session course will cover Adoration, Petition, Intercession,Unanswered Prayer, Contemplation, Listening and Spiritual Warfare. The four-session course will concentrate on Adoration, Petition, Contemplation and Intercession.

Caring for our world during Lent
God calls us to care for our world and Malmesbury Climate Action Network are hosting a film and discussion evening on Friday 19 February. Check out their website for more details by clicking here (click here)
Wild Church during Lent
Revd Matt Stone is putting together four reflections over Lent to help us to grow in faith as we reflect on the world God has made. The first reflection looks at Living Water.
Wild Lent with Friends in the Mission Area
As an antidote to lockdown, Revd Tonya Nixon in Braydon Brook is inviting people to accompany her through Lent as she works through Rachel Summers’ book “Wild Lent – Discovering God through Creation”.
“Wild Lent will change how we all experience and think about Lent. How? Simple! Instead of a nice cosy room, coffee, biscuits and lots of discussion about the meaning of Lent, you’ll be wrapping up warm and heading off into the wilds! It’s time to get up close and personal with creation and make a shadow clock, have a sunrise breakfast walk, go on a giant egg hunt, hug a tree, walk barefoot . . . and share God’s creation with others.”
There will be a chance to catch up on Zoom each Wednesday afternoon 4.00pm – 4.45pm starting on 24 February. Email the Braydon Brook administrator, Alison Withers, on email@example.com to get the Zoom link. To view a poster for this event (click here)
Church Prayer Meetings (Tuesday 23 February & Tuesday 30 March, 7:30pm to 8:30pm on Zoom)
There will be a chance to worship, hear a short bible reflection and pray in small groups. There will be no pressure to pray out loud, everyone is welcome. We meet over Zoom for 1hour. Details of the Zoom link can be found in our latest News Sheet (click here).
