SUNDAYS AT MALMESBURY ABBEY:
8am BCP Holy Communion
A simple, quiet service of Holy Communion, without music, and using the ancient 17th century liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer. The service lasts about 45 minutes and includes a short sermon.
10:30am Holy Communion (1st & 3rd Sundays) or Morning Prayer.
An informal, friendly atmosphere, beautiful liturgy, a robed choir, hymns and anthems and at least 20 minutes of preaching - yes, we love the Bible too. After the service please stay for a Fairtrade coffee and in St. Aldhelm's Chapel our Prayer and Healing team are available to pray with you in confidence. On the 2nd Sunday of the month this service has a small worship team and no choir.
4pm Informal Worship, Junior Church and Trax youth group.
This congregation is nearly 3 years old
(Happy Birthday to us!) and is designed to be contemporary and informal and as family friendly as we can manage. Modern worship, Kids songs, drama, fun, sometimes coffee in the middle, listening to the Bible, learning together and taking time out to pray. Did we mention coffee? Yes, and also snacks at 5:20pm for the children. After each service Prayer Ministry is available and on the 4th Sunday of the month the service is an All-age Communion.
6:30pm Choral Evensong (2nd Sunday of the month only).
A fully sung choral evensong in a tranquil Abbey with choir and organ, an anthem and a short sermon.
FIFTH SUNDAY: 11am Festival Communion.
Just to confuse everybody, when there is a 5th Sunday in the month, we close down all our normal services and worship together. The family together. Coffee served from 10:30am.
